Just to give you an idea of our definition of urgent, in the first 6 months of 2022, we paid more for feed, grain and hay than we did for the entire year of 2021! The same for our auto and transportation costs – – more in 6 months than all of last year, mostly due to outrageous gasoline and diesel fuel prices. And all for about the same number of rescued horses.
We need your help in saving emaciated horses like the one you see above, and hundreds of others like them. Whatever you might be able to spare, $10, $50 , $100 or even more would be of such a tremendous help to our organization and the horses in our rehabilitation programs. Or, can we strike some sort of a purchase deal? But remember, we’re a non-profit. That means funds are VERY limited!!!
* A bucket truck or man lift. We have gutters to clean that can only be reached by using an extension ladder. This is an overwhelming task when you have over a thousand feet of gutters to clean! And our training arena needs painting of the roof girders that are 30-feet above the ground.
* A 6, 7 or 8-foot 3-point hitch landscape rake. With 100 plus acres of pasture for our rescued horses, a landscape rake can be used for leveling, spreading meadow muffins, road maintenance, etc.
* A small dump truck or dump trailer.
* A manure spreader.
We can take these items off your hands if they are of no longer use to you, and you’ll get the benefit of an appropriate tax deduction!
